Hello 👋 I'm Oussama, a software engineer based in Niort, France. The journey started in 2016 with a first line of production code — and the healthy terror of a first production incident. Since then it has crossed five industries: SaaS products built end to end, healthcare platforms where data is sacred, travel systems at massive scale, fintech services where money moves and mistakes don't get to, and insurance estates where software quietly runs people's lives.

Along the way the tools changed constantly — languages, frameworks, clouds, whole paradigms. The way of working didn't: understand deeply, build properly, ship. I treat technology as equipment rather than identity; today one stack, tomorrow another, and the switch is part of the fun. Give me a new domain and a hard problem, and watch both get learned.

Two threads run through everything: quality — testing, security, code that the next engineer will thank you for — and curiosity, the kind that reverse-engineers things at midnight just to know how they work. That second thread is currently pointed at AI engineering, and it's not letting go.

The next decade of backend engineering speaks AI, and I intend to be fluent early. I'm building — not just reading — with retrieval-augmented generation, vector search and local model inference, and completing a CNAM engineering diploma in systems and software architecture alongside the day job.

The ambition is simple: pair ten years of production judgment with what's coming next, and build systems that last in both directions — backwards-compatible with reality, forwards-compatible with the future.
